Our evening indoors was a roaring success. Mobile Art Studio for Creative Disruption cause a few ruffled feathers, breathed in some ultra bad fumes, and created a shared magic with its participants. We watched and listened as the images in our collage bin triggered emotions and the sharing of stories, witnessed incredible mark making, smudging, and line drawing, and nurtured and welcomed those new to creating on paper. We met incredible artists!
But hell we just kept getting in the way cause we were so popular. It was hard to turn people away but gave them a take home kit.
The fun in watching the transformation of the spectator into an active agent and the spectacle into a communal performance was worth huffing a bit of spray paint and some cig smoke. I will have lots to write about for the next few weeks, so stay tuned.
